The long road from disease to therapy

Learning from people - researching for people Neurological research is like detective work. First we look for the triggers of a disease. To do this, we not only look at individual details, but at entire systems: the person, their organs, cells, molecules and their interaction. The result is a disease model. We use it to come up with solutions whose efficacy and safety we then have to prove experimentally and clinically. The active involvement of patients is particularly important to us at every stage of our research.
